The Star, Gold Coast
Stream Waste Australia delivered Australia’s first Automated Waste Collection System (AWCS) for The Star Gold Coast’s first mixed-use tower on Broadbeach Island.
The highly intelligent ‘Automated Waste Collection System’ has made a global sustainability impact, operating across major developments such as Singapore’s Changi Airport, Resort World Sentosa Island, and Abu Dhabi’s Al Raha Beach development.
Delivered by Stream Waste Australia, the waste system is soon to be expanded into new towers at The Star Gold Coast, which will deliver additional benefits to this Site by connecting general and recyclable waste streams into the existing centralised waste area.
Operating from The Star Gold Coast’s existing loading dock and integrating with our future mixed-use tower, this game-changing sustainability technology will also enhance the tower’s sustainability credentials – including its 5-star Green Star Design Certified Rating, awarded last year by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
